Welcome to Western Kentucky Outdoors! We are serious about our hunting and fishing and we work hard to make your trip memorable. Here at WKO you won’t find a so-called pro or a world of sponsors. We are the guys that are usually behind the scenes making the so-called pro's look like pros!!!!What you will find is we are good at what we do and fish or hunt the way it was meant to be!. I hope you will enjoy the content of this site. Check back often, like the seasons, it will change. One thing is for sure; this site and our operation exists because of the passion we have for the outdoors of Western Kentucky. One reason you are probably here is because you are seeking information about fishing or hunting in Kentucky yourself. I do not consider myself an outfitter. Our services will not put you in a 5 star lodge, box stand or heated blind. What I will do is tailor your hunt to your liking, assist in getting you here, help you make accommodations and guiding you in the field for the purpose you came to the state of Kentucky for, to hunt or fish. We are serious about what we do in the field and will work hard to make your trip a success. WE ARE NOT a hunter mill. We are not about getting through as many hunters as we can each season. Our hunts are very limited. This allows us to insure everyone is catered to, has a good hunt and enjoys themselves while in Kentucky. At the same time, this helps insure future success in seasons that follow. Again in 2008 we will take much of what our prior customers have asked for and make it available. We have also further structured our rates and continue to be the most affordable and successful operation in our areas "We want to shake your hand when you arrive and be able to do the same when you leave. Unlike a lot of outfitters, we strive to keep our web site, prices and information current. The Front Porch gives past, present and future clients a snap shot of what is going on here. We use nothing but recent photos and references from our hunts. This gives our clients an up-to-date, honest report concerning our clients' successes and trophies taken..

We utilize trail cameras throughout the year to keep tabs on the bucks that call our properties home. We post these results regularly in the Trail Cam Photo link on the left side of this page. This helps give us first hand knowledge of the bucks we are hunting and allows us to be invasive. Several bucks are harvested each fall that we capture on trail cams.

Kentucky has over the counter license and tags. Non-residents can purchase all licenses and permits over the counter or online through the provided link or clicking the department logo on the left. http://www.kdfwr.state.ky.us/ .

Bowhunting is our passion and fuels us each day. On a typical year over 80% of our clients are bow hunters. We take great satisfaction in this. Many of our properties are archery only from season to season, which is a good recipe for taking trophy animals year in and year out. Not everyone is successful while here, but typically everyone has shot opportunities.   We know what it takes to take P&Y bucks. There is nothing that we know of that leads to greater success than scouting. Often we will scout out a deer some times as much as a week before going in and trying to tag him. On some occassions we may go in and place a stand as you wait to climb the tree or pack a climber in to hunt a spot for the first time. We are firm believers in that the first time or two a stand is hunted is your best opportunity at tagging a trophy buck.
